Job Overview

This position is for a senior-level Information Security Analyst who will perform steady-state governance work supporting data-at-rest protection, enterprise information protection metrics, and policy adherence execution. The role supports enterprise risk management, board-level reporting, and audit readiness through disciplined governance analysis and remediation coordination. Additionally, the role contributes to the uplift of semi-automated control execution toward scalable, repeatable, and audit-defensible automation aligned with organizational platforms and methodologies.

Responsibilities
  • Execute governance activities supporting enterprise data-at-rest protection requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual control execution through automation, standardization, and repeatable logic.
  • Interpret and apply information security policies and standards.
  • Partner with internal technology, data, and development teams (onshore and offshore) to translate governance and control requirements into scalable execution patterns.
  • Analyze risk and control gaps and influence remediation decisions with technology and risk partners.
  • Contribute to the design, testing, and sustainment of semi-automated and automated control execution mechanisms, ensuring appropriate documentation, validation, and human-in-the-loop oversight.
  • Produce audit-defensible documentation and reporting artifacts.
  • Support responsible automation and AI adoption through governance execution.
Qualifications
  • 5 years of Information Security Analysis experience or equivalent demonstrated through work, consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise professional judgment in ambiguous governance or risk scenarios and influence outcomes without formal authority.
  • Experience in Governance, Risk, and Controls (GRC), cybersecurity, information security, or IT risk management.
  • Experience participating in or enabling automation of repeatable governance or control processes.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with technical teams to implement solutions that support governance objectives.
  • Strong analytical background with demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Experience operating in large, highly regulated enterprise environments with formal risk, audit, and governance expectations.
  • Experience supporting enterprise metrics, dashboards, or reporting cycles.
  • High attention to detail and ability to operate independently.
Required Tools & Skills
  • Ability to communicate complex risk topics clearly through written deliverables, executive-level presentations, and governance summaries.
  • Experience using enterprise-approved generative AI tools with an understanding of human-in-the-loop/human-in-the-middle controls.
  • Practical experience using automation, scripting, or low-code tools to support repeatable analysis or governance activities.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Dataverse as a governed data store to support control execution, governance workflows, metrics, or audit-defensible records.
  • Basic to intermediate scripting experience (e.g., Python, Power Shell, or similar) to support data extraction, validation, or control logic.
  • Experience consuming or supporting REST APIs or system integrations in a governance or reporting context.
  • Ability to validate that automated control outputs accurately reflect control intent and risk outcomes.
  • Ability to document automation logic, assumptions, and limitations in an audit-defensible manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced analysis, pivot tables, data validation).
  • Experience with enterprise metrics, data, and reporting platforms.
Desired/Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Power Automate for workflow, notifications, or governance automation.
  • Proficiency in Power BI and/or Microsoft Fabric.
  • Information protection or data security experience.
  • Metrics governance or KPI ownership.
