10 is currently seeking a Senior Security Test Automation Engineer - Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Chandler, AZ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Test Automation Engineer with deep expertise in the integration and inner workings of Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) and Key Management Systems (KMS). This role is focused on designing, building, testing, and validating enterprise‑grade cryptographic solutions and will be responsible for end‑to‑end validation after automated patch deployment on critical cryptographic platforms.
Responsibilities- Design, deploy, and manage HSM and KMS platforms across on‑prem and cloud environments
- Develop and integrate secure cryptographic services leveraging REST‑based APIs
- Interface with enterprise security architecture to ensure alignment with cryptographic standards and policies
- Support automated patch validation and continuous platform currency lifecycle management
- Build and maintain CRUD‑based REST APIs using Python and Java
- Develop automation solutions using Ansible and shell scripting for provisioning, patching, and testing
- Create reusable frameworks for platform validation and integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines
- Design and implement end‑to‑end automated test harnesses for validation of patches, upgrades, and security controls
- Develop detailed test cases and execute regression, functional, and performance testing
- Produce comprehensive documentation, including test results, failure analysis, and troubleshooting procedures
- Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and security teams
- 8+ years of experience in security engineering, cryptography, or key management systems
- Proficiency in Python and Java programming
- Experience with REST API development (CRUD operations)
- Experience with Linux environments and shell scripting
- Hands‑on experience with configuration management tools using Ansible
- Experience with automated testing frameworks, test harness design, and patch validation
- Exposure to Dev Ops and CI/CD practices
- Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with HSM/KMS vendors such as Thales, Utimaco, Future
X, or Entrust - Familiarity with cloud KMS offerings (e.g., AWS KMS, Azure Key Vault)
- Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS)
- Understanding of cryptographic principles, PKI, and security protocols (e.g., TLS, SSH)
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
Pay range: $79.74 - $87.74 per hour
