Mainframe Production Support - Chandler, AZ | Des Moines, IA

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Mainframe Production Support professional to join their team. As a Mainframe Production Support specialist, you will be part of the Mainframe Platform Support group supporting critical applications in a highly specialized, non-standard environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate resilience, proactive problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title:Mainframe Production Support

Location:Chandler, AZ (preferred) | Des Moines, IA (secondary)

What's the Job?

• Provide Level 2/3 production support for Automated Credit, Rewards, and Credit Card Hub applications
• Monitor production systems to ensure stability and uptime
• Analyze and troubleshoot failed mainframe jobs (JCL)
• Perform root cause analysis and support ad hoc job executions
• Partner with Production Control to restart and recover failed jobs

What's Needed?

• Strong experience in Mainframe Production Support, including application support
• Proficiency with technologies/tools such as JCL, COBOL, CICS, DB2, CA7, IDCAMS, Mainview
• Experience with file tools like File Manager, File Analyzer, EZTRIEV
• Familiarity with ticketing and documentation tools such as Service Now, JIRA, Confluence
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume, production-critical environment
