We are seeking a skilled Windows Automation Engineer to support and enhance large-scale software release, deployment, and patch management initiatives across enterprise Windows environments. This role will work closely with Infrastructure, Database Operations, Software Support, and Engineering teams to develop automated solutions that enable rapid, secure, and reliable deployment of software utilities, updates, and patches.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Windows systems, Power Shell scripting, and Microsoft SQL Server
, along with a passion for automation, process improvement, and operational excellence.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated solutions for software deployment and patch management across enterprise Windows environments.
- Create and enhance Power Shell scripts to streamline system administration, software releases, and operational processes.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, Engineering, Database, and Support teams to implement scalable deployment solutions.
- Support software release activities and ensure successful deployment of applications, utilities, and security patches.
- Monitor deployment processes and troubleshoot issues related to software distribution and system updates.
- Maintain documentation for automation workflows, deployment procedures, and operational standards.
- Participate in change management and release management processes to ensure compliance and system stability.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and process optimization.
- Support cybersecurity and compliance initiatives related to system patching and software deployment.
- Experience supporting Windows Server and Windows-based enterprise environments.
- Strong proficiency in Power Shell scripting and automation.
- Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Knowledge of software deployment, patch management, and release processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex system and deployment issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments.
- Experience with Ansible Automation.
- Familiarity with Service Now, JIRA, BMC Remedy, and Tableau.
- Experience with change control and release management processes.
- Knowledge of enterprise patch management and endpoint management tools such as SCCM/MECM or similar platforms.
- Exposure to cybersecurity best practices and enterprise infrastructure operations.
