Job Description We are seeking a Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Sybase ASE and MySQL and a proven ability to design, implement, migrate, and support enterprise database platforms across the full lifecycle. Responsibilities:
Administer, monitor, and support Sybase ASE and MySQL across production, non-production, development, and disaster recovery tiers. Collaborate with clients and application teams on design, capacity planning, build, and rollout activities. Lead and support the Sybase ASE 16.1 upgrade initiative, including planning, testing, and implementation. Contribute to the enterprise Sybase exit program, including migrations, validations, and transition to target platforms. Execute production support, incident management, root cause analysis, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and patching.

Participate in on-call rotation and meet response SLAs for critical incidents. Use Foglight to monitor health, identify performance issues, and act on alerts. Maintain database security standards, access controls, and compliance configurations. Produce and maintain runbooks, build guides, and operational procedures. Required Skills &

Qualifications:

Hands-on DBA experience administering Sybase ASE and MySQL in enterprise environments. Working knowledge of Sybase ASE 16.x architecture, replication, and upgrade procedures. Proficiency with Foglight database monitoring and alerting. Strong performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity management skills. Ability to support and engage clients directly in design and delivery activities. Effective written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical audiences. Comfort with on-call production support rotation.

Scripting proficiency in Python, Perl, and shell. Preferred

Skills:

Experience with database migration programs and decommissioning legacy platforms. Familiarity with enterprise change, incident, and problem management frameworks. Additional Details:
