Information Security Engineer - Contingent

Our client, a leading organization in the cybersecurity industry, is seeking a Information Security Engineer 2 - Contingent to join their team. As a Information Security Engineer 2 - Contingent, you will be part of the Cybersecurity department supporting the Information Security Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Information Security Engineer 2 - Contingent

Location: Chandler, AZ

• Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives within Information Security Engineering.
• Review and analyze tactical assignments, research, evaluate, and recommend solutions for low-to-medium risk deliverables.
• Develop and present recommendations for resolving security challenges, exercising independent judgment.
• Provide support and information to client personnel regarding security engineering practices.
• Collaborate with IT partners to improve processes and ensure compliance with security policies.

• At least 2+ years of experience in Information Security Engineering or equivalent experience through work, consulting, military, or education.
• Fundamentals of secure configuration and hardening for Windows/Linux systems and basic networking literacy.
• Experience with vulnerability management, validation, prioritization, and remediation coordination.
• Knowledge of IAM concepts such as least privilege, MFA, and account lifecycle management.
• Understanding of logging, monitoring, SIEM basics, and alert triage support.
