Information Security Engineer 4 / Senior Active Directory Engineer
In this contingent resource assignment, you will consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Information Security Engineering. You will review and analyze complex, multi-faceted information security challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Your contributions will help resolve situations requiring a solid understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements to meet deliverables while strategically collaborating with client personnel.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build, and manage enterprise Active Directory environments and domain controllers.
- Deploy and maintain AD infrastructure including Group Policy, DNS, and organizational units.
- Manage domain controller virtualization to ensure high availability and resilience.
- Troubleshoot complex AD issues related to authentication, replication, and access control.
- Develop and enforce security standards for Active Directory, including privileged access management and audit logging.
- Perform system updates and vulnerability remediation across AD environments.
- Automate operational tasks using Power Shell and scripting tools.
- Integrate Active Directory with enterprise applications and cloud services.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application teams.
- Support compliance reviews and identity governance initiatives.
- Document architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Manage work through Jira and participate in Agile delivery processes.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior resources.
Experience:
5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience or equivalent, demonstrated through work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education. This includes hands-on experience in building and configuring Active Directory.
Technical
Skills:
Strong Power Shell scripting and automation experience. Experience designing and managing enterprise-scale domain controller environments.
- Experience with Azure AD and hybrid identity architectures.
- Experience with Microsoft Hyper-V and virtualization of domain controllers.
- A strong understanding of IAM frameworks and privileged access management.
- Experience in Agile environments using Jira.
- Experience in financial services or other regulated environments.
