Business Execution Consultant IV
- Software Asset Management/License Compliance

Hybrid
- Chandler, AZ

24-month Contract (W2), Weekly Pay (40 hours/week)

Role Summary

Calculated Hire in search of Business Execution Consultant IV for our Fortune 100 Financial Services Company. This role supports execution of enterprise Software Asset Management (SAM) and Software License Compliance (SLC) activities. The individual is responsible for license compliance analysis, contract review support, software data quality, and audit readiness.

The position operates within the SAM/SLC function, which provides governance, operational execution, and oversight of software assets, ensuring compliance with vendor agreements and accuracy of enterprise software data.

Job Responsibilities
  • License Compliance & Analysis
    • Perform software license compliance analysis and apply license rules to determine compliance position
    • Support license reconciliations for strategic and non-strategic vendors
    • Identify and remediate over-deployment and under-utilization scenarios
  • Software Contract & License Interpretation
    • Analyze software contracts and licensing agreements to interpret terms, restrictions, and entitlements
    • Apply licensing rules to operational scenarios to ensure compliance
  • Software Asset Data & Research
    • Perform daily research and analysis of software asset data to ensure accuracy and completeness
    • Troubleshoot data quality issues across discovery, inventory, and entitlement sources
    • Support software catalog accuracy and lifecycle tracking (e.g., extended support)
  • Tools, Workflow & Operational Execution
    • Utilize Service Now and other web-based workflow tools to execute SAM/SLC processes
    • Support reconciliation workflows, contract cycles, and compliance tracking activities
    • Maintain documentation and audit trails for compliance activities
  • Audit & Compliance Support
    • Assist with internal and external software audits
    • Prepare supporting documentation and validate compliance positions
    • Ensure readiness for vendor certification and audit requests
  • Optimization & Cost Management
    • Identify opportunities for license optimization and cost savings
    • Analyze software usage patterns and recommend adjustments
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of technology experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with Software Asset Management (SAM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), or software license compliance functions
  • Working knowledge of:
    • Software license models and compliance concepts
    • Software contract analysis
    • Data analysis and troubleshooting
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience supporting or managing medium-scale technology efforts within a line of business
  • Strong influence and communication skills across organizational levels, including senior leadership
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Certification or formal training in:
    • Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) or equivalent
    • Software Asset Management / License Management
  • Experience using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, including:
    • Tachyon or similar tools
Job Expectations
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in software asset management and software license compliance
  • Ability to perform ongoing research and troubleshooting of software asset data issues
  • Experience working with:
    • Service Now
    • Web-based workflow or reconciliation tools
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Software contract structures and licensing terms
    • Software license rules and application of those rules in compliance scenarios
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Attention to detail in data and reconciliation activities
  • Ability to interpret complex licensing models and contracts
  • Effective stakeholder communication and collaboration
  • Operational discipline and process execution
