Location:
Chandler, Arizona (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 months
Payrate: $65
-70/hr on W2
Role Overview
The Azure Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) role is focused on ensuring the reliability and operational excellence for Azure platform services. This position involves close partnership with teams across platform engineering, networking, security, and AI infrastructure to integrate reliability into Azure-native solutions. The role is critical in maintaining platform components to meet defined reliability, availability, and scalability objectives for enterprise workloads in Azure.
Key Responsibilities
- Support observability, incident response, automation, and resilience testing for Azure platform services.
- Develop and maintain operational runbooks for Azure landing zones, ingress and egress DMZs, and service integration layers.
- Ensure platform components meet defined reliability, availability, and scalability objectives.
- Partner with platform engineering, networking, security, and AI infrastructure teams to embed reliability into solutions.
- Support the consistent onboarding and sustained operation of enterprise workloads in Azure.
- Contribute to the reliability of AI infrastructure that supports Microsoft Foundry and private OpenAI access.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
- Operating and supporting Azure platform services with a focus on reliability, availability, and scalability.
- Hands-on experience with Site Reliability Engineering practices, including observability, incident response, automation, and operational readiness.
- Collaborating with platform engineering, networking, security, and infrastructure teams.
- Supporting enterprise Azure landing zones, ingress and egress DMZs, and shared platform components.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain operational runbooks.
- Operating secure Azure environments and supporting AI infrastructure workloads at scale.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience supporting AI infrastructure in Azure, including platforms for Microsoft Foundry and private OpenAI access.
- Familiarity with designing and operating highly available service integration layers and network perimeters in complex environments.
- Advanced experience integrating reliability objectives into platform product operating models.
- Skills in automation, platform observability design, and driving operational excellence across shared Azure services.
