Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electronics Refurbishment Technician to join our team. You'll work hands-on with a variety of electronic devices, performing repairs, upgrades, data erasure, and software installations. If you get excited about taking devices apart, making them better, and are comfortable in both hardware and software environments, we'd love to hear from you!
- Disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, and reassemble electronic devices (cell phones, laptops, tablets, routers, etc.).
- Replace components such as screens, batteries, keyboards, and circuit boards with precision and care.
- Perform thorough data erasure and follow procedures for secure device wiping.
- Install, update, and remove software programs as needed.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Follow standard operating procedures and accurately document your workflow.
- Multitask in a fast-paced environment and help optimize refurbishing processes.
- Assist in quality control and post-repair testing to ensure devices meet company standards.
- Hands-on experience repairing or refurbishing electronic devices, prior work at cell phone repair shops (e.g., uBreakiFix) or self-taught/home experience is highly valued.
- Familiarity with computer hardware, including building or upgrading PCs.
- Comfortable with software installation, updates, troubleshooting, and uninstallation.
- Ability to assemble, disassemble, remove/replace parts, and reassemble devices safely and effectively.
- Understanding of data erasure practices beyond just factory resets.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Experience with diagnostics tools or refurbishing equipment.
- Prior work in a refurbishing, repair, or IT service environment.
- Technical certifications (CompTIA A+, etc.) are a plus but not required.
