• Strong understanding of network protocols and routing

• Experience with firewall engineering (not just policy management)

Job Summary:

In this contingent resource assignment, you will consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives within Information Security Engineering. You will review and analyze security engineering challenges requiring in-depth evaluation and contribute to resolving issues while maintaining compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. This role focuses on hands-on firewall engineering within large enterprise environments.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Engineer, configure, and support Palo Alto and/or Fortinet firewall solutions
• Design and implement firewall configurations in line with security standards
• Analyze and troubleshoot network security and connectivity issues
• Work with routing and network protocols to ensure secure and efficient traffic flow
• Collaborate with network and security teams to support infrastructure security initiatives
• Participate in implementation of security controls and firewall deployments
• Provide operational support and engineering improvements for firewall environments
• Utilize scripting (where applicable) for automation and efficiency improvements
• Ensure adherence to security policies, compliance standards, and best practices
