A respected enterprise organization in the Phoenix, Arizona area is hiring a full-time, onsite AS400 / IBM i Infrastructure Analyst to support critical business systems running on IBM Power Systems technology. This position will focus on IBM i administration, platform performance, system security, high-availability solutions, disaster recovery readiness, and ongoing infrastructure improvements.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced IBM i professional who enjoys taking ownership of complex environments and contributing to long-term platform stability. The organization continues to invest in infrastructure modernization, automation, security programs, and resiliency initiatives. The successful candidate will work alongside infrastructure, application, and operations teams while playing a key role in maintaining system availability and supporting business-critical workloads.
RequiredSkills & Experience
- 5+ years of IBM i / AS400 administration experience
- Experience managing IBM Power Systems environments
- Strong IBM i operating system administration skills
- Experience performing PTF maintenance and operating system upgrades
- Backup and recovery administration experience
- Performance monitoring and capacity planning experience
- IBM i security administration knowledge
- Production environment support experience
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
- PowerHA experience
- MIMIX experience
- iCluster experience
- CL programming knowledge
- RPG support or development experience
- Service Now experience
- Compliance or audit support experience
- Disaster recovery planning and testing experience
- Automation and process improvement experience
- Administer and maintain IBM i infrastructure environments
- Monitor platform performance and system health
- Deploy operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes
- Manage security controls and user access
- Support backup, recovery, and business continuity processes
- Participate in disaster recovery exercises and testing
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and operations teams
