IT Project Manager, Business Systems & Technology Analysis
Akkodis is seeking a Program Manager for one of our clients in Chandler, Arizona.
Rate Range: $55.00/hour to $60.00/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
DescriptionWe are seeking an IT Program Manager with cloud demand management experience to own and drive the end-to-end demand management process for internal cloud platform services. This role is responsible for managing demand intake, evaluation, normalization, prioritization, forecasting, and reporting to ensure alignment between business needs, platform capacity, funding models, and delivery commitments. The successful candidate will partner closely with platform engineering, finance, governance, and delivery teams to translate incoming demand into actionable plans and investment decisions.
Key responsibilities include analyzing intake requests, assessing capacity and resource impacts, maintaining and prioritizing demand backlogs, developing accurate demand forecasts, and providing transparency through executive-level reporting and governance processes. This role plays a critical part in balancing customer demand with platform constraints while supporting effective financial planning, portfolio management, and strategic decision-making.
This role is currently 3 days per week onsite.
Required Qualifications- 4-5 years of experience managing demand intake, demand prioritization, portfolio planning, or related processes for shared technology services.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience modeling capacity constraints, utilization trends, and delivery tradeoffs.
- Experience developing demand forecasts and translating business needs into actionable technology roadmaps and plans.
- Familiarity with cloud platform services, infrastructure consumption patterns, and resource allocation principles.
- Experience collaborating with finance, governance, platform, and delivery teams to align demand with funding, capacity, and strategic objectives.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present demand insights, risks, and recommendations to leadership.
- Experience maintaining demand backlogs, evaluating intake requests, and supporting governance and planning processes.
- Proficiency in reporting, data analysis, and demand management metrics to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- ITIL Demand Management, ITIL Financial Management, or related industry certification.
- 5-7+ years of experience supporting cloud, infrastructure, or technology portfolio management functions.
- Experience with capacity planning tools, service portfolio management platforms, or enterprise planning solutions.
- Knowledge of financial management processes, including budgeting, forecasting, chargeback, showback, or cost allocation models.
- Exposure to virtualization technologies and platform capacity modeling methodologies.
- Experience supporting cloud platform governance, investment planning, and resource optimization initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to balance customer demand, operational constraints, and business priorities within large-scale technology environments.
- Experience working in complex enterprise organizations with shared services or internal platform delivery models.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
