Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our self‑storage facility in Chandler, AZ
. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction (online, over‑the‑phone and in‑person), maximizing rental occupancy, and maintaining the facility’s overall performance and cleanliness. The role focuses on driving high occupancy through retaining and attracting new customers and on leading metrics such as facility cleanliness and responsiveness to customers.

- Manage daily operations and ensure efficient facility performance.
- Deliver exceptional customer service across all channels and build strong tenant relationships.
- Oversee leasing, payment processing, and delinquency management.
- Maintain facility cleanliness and security through regular inspections and light cleaning.
- Implement marketing strategies to enhance occupancy and revenue.
- Perform administrative tasks, including completing leases, auditing inventory, and preparing necessary documentation.
- Manage financial tasks such as bank deposits, record‑keeping, and reducing delinquent accounts.
- Coordinate with local vendors, tracking maintenance work orders.
- Lead and develop the team, promoting a positive work environment.
- Sell storage‑related merchandise and maintain adequate inventory (locks, boxes, etc.).
- High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of customer‑service experience with supervisory background.
- Knowledge of the self‑storage industry highly preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, basic Excel, Teams).
- Availability to work occasional Saturdays and Sundays; schedule can be accommodated.
- Physical ability to move and restock merchandise up to 50 lbs, walk the full property for tours, and operate roll‑up doors.

8–10 hour shifts covering up to 30 hours per week most weeks (rarely more). Store is open Monday to Sunday. Specific hours will be discussed during the hiring process.
