The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that project obligations are delivered on time and in compliance with industry and company standards, managing financial performance, maintaining a safe workplace, and building strong relationships with employees and customers. In this role, you will collaborate with cross‑functional internal teams—including Operations, Engineering, Sales, and Administration—to improve the entire customer experience. A strong background in physical security (Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Detection systems) and infrastructure is desired;
additional certifications may be required.
- Lead multiple projects and teams both locally and nationally.
- Recruit, hire, and train project teams.
- Supervise direct reports in all aspects of project installation.
- Implement project plans while maintaining quality assurance, financial performance, and schedule.
- Collect data, as‑built documentation, pictures, and other deliverables required for Project Closeout.
- Manage and approve project schedules and timesheets.
- Define all project tasks and resource requirements.
- Understand installation methods and commissioning for all integrated systems:
Security, Audio, Visual, Access Control, and Infrastructure Cabling. - Provide daily/weekly reports of project progress and issues.
- Ensure that project Foremen initiate daily team safety meetings and document minutes.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior Project Managers to effectively execute projects and coordination tasks.
- Run several small projects concurrently as well as mid‑to‑large client‑specific projects assigned by Premise One.
- Manage an average combined project workload between $2M and $5M.
- Verifiable Project Management experience or relevant industry experience managing multiple projects and customers simultaneously.
- Experience managing projects outside the home base area while coordinating multiple installation teams across the country.
- Self‑motivated with strong leadership and problem‑solving skills to guide project teams to completion.
- Excellent communication skills for providing direct updates to clients/customers and the Premise One Leadership team.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions to identify potential risks.
- Collaborate effectively with internal sales, estimating, and engineering teams.
- Review drawings, blueprints, and other customer documents to manage all projects successfully.
- Willingness to travel as needed for assigned customer accounts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or GED equivalency.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).
- Meet the Company’s minimum driving standards, including a verifiable record aligned with the Fleet Safety program.
- Competent problem‑solving ability with strong mathematical and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed for assigned customer accounts.
- Ability to handle the physical workload related to daily responsibilities.
The Project Manager must adhere to Company policies, follow directions, work constructively with co‑workers, listen to and consider ideas, keep others informed of progress and deadlines, address problems constructively, keep commitments, and respect the diversity of the Company’s workforce.
ExperienceThree to five years of related experience and/or training required.
Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents, write correspondence, and communicate effectively with others and third parties, preferably in English.
Mathematical SkillsCompetent ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rates, ratios, and percentages; and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning AbilityCompetent ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in situations with limited standardizations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations- Driving is a requirement; a valid driver’s license is required. The employee’s motor vehicle record will be subject to the Company’s Fleet Safety Program.
