Production Planner

The Production Planner is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining production schedules to ensure timely, efficient manufacturing operations and on-time delivery to customers’ demand. This role works closely with Operations, Purchasing, and Manufacturing Engineering to balance capacity, materials, and labor in support of production goals to meet demand.

• Own and execute production planning and scheduling for assigned resource groups to support various programs.
• Develop detailed daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on demand signals, capacity, and material availability.
• Translate demand plans, work orders, and engineering specifications into executable production schedules and job sequences.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Inventory Control to ensure materials and components are available to meet schedule requirements.
• Create, release, and manage all orders, ensuring accurate routing, completion, and closure in the ERP system.
• Monitor shop floor performance, work order progress, and production output to ensure adherence to plan.
• Identify and resolve production scheduling conflicts, material shortages, and capacity constraints in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineering and Operations to validate capacity models, improve throughput, and reduce downtime.
• Communicate schedule changes, production risks, and recovery plans to relevant stakeholders.
• Analyze work-in-progress (WIP), and upcoming orders to optimize sequencing, minimize lead times, and achieve key KPIs such as schedule adherence.
• Maintain and continuously improve planning accuracy, system data integrity, and standard operating procedures for scheduling.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships to ensure effective communication and alignment between material, production and procurement.
