Kaiser Aluminum Alexco Chandler Arizona located 6520 W Allison Rd, Chandler, AZ is seeking a Die Repair Technician to join our team in a fast‑paced aluminum extrusion facility. Die Repair Technicians are responsible for performing various tasks to support the production process, ensuring the smooth operation of the factory. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be physically fit, and have a willingness to learn.

Die Repair Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Inspect dies upon receipt & after production runs (repair as applicable).
  • Repair dies at the press or the bench as required.
  • Pre‑work dies and call out die openings and bearing lengths.
  • Inspect new tools and ensure the tools were made to Kaiser Aluminum
    Alexco’s specifications.
  • Inform the Die Supervisor when replacement tools may be needed.
  • Support and assist the Set‑Up Inspector with their responsibilities as time allows.
  • Organize stretch tooling.
  • Catalogue, organize, and build segmented jaws.
  • Keep work area clean.
  • Communicate with fellow employees on any matter relevant to your job;
    (phone, e‑mail, & in person) as long as the communication does not violate
    Kaiser Aluminum’s Code of Conduct.
  • Follow applicable Environmental, Quality, & Safety documents, if not valid notify the
    appropriate personnel.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
What you will bring to the role:
  • Have High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Able to work well with others.
  • Have good troubleshooting & communication skills.
  • Have strong math skills (i.e. tolerances).
  • Able to work with little to no supervision.
  • Able to prioritize.
  • Able to work safely.
  • Attention to detail is critical due to the nature of the job (i.e. checking dimensions to
    prints). The die repair process needs to be performed correctly to ensure material conforms to customer requirements.
