Job Brazer – Industrial Pipe fitting (Full‑Time)

Location: Mesa, Arizona

Pay: $24/hr

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:30 AM–4:00 PM +
mandatory Fridays

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Brazer / Pipefitter to join our production team. In this role, you will assemble and braze large‑diameter copper and steel piping systems used in natural gas, chiller, and industrial HVAC applications. This position requires extensive hands‑on brazing experience, strong heat‑control proficiency, and the ability to work across multiple joint positions and material types.

• Perform torch brazing on 1.5” to 4” copper and steel piping systems
• Braze copper‑to‑copper and copper‑to‑steel joints for industrial HVAC and natural‑gas systems
• Assemble piping components, coils, compressors, valves, fittings, and chiller system parts
• Complete brazed joints in uphill, downhill, and horizontal positions
• Achieve controlled brazing temperatures between 600°C–900°C (1,100°F–1,650°F)
• Use silver‑based and copper‑phosphorus filler alloys with melting ranges of 620°C–780°C (1,150°F–1,435°F)
• Maintain proper flame characteristics and heat distribution for quality filler flow
• Utilize continuous nitrogen purging to protect internal surfaces
• Prepare, clean, align, and inspect joints for penetration, flow quality, and structural integrity
• Conduct pressure & leak tests (nitrogen, helium, vacuum decay, soap solution)
• Perform rework following approved procedures
• Maintain torches, regulators, gauges, and gas‑delivery equipment
• Follow hot‑work safety protocols, PPE requirements, and fire‑prevention procedures
• Accurately record process parameters and report deviations
• Support quality initiatives and continuous improvement efforts

• Proven experience as a Pipefitter or Industrial Brazing Technician
• Extensive background in heavy industrial torch brazing
• Experience brazing large‑diameter piping ( 1.5”–4” )
• Ability to braze in all positions
• Strong understanding of heat control, joint prep, and filler selection
• Experience with natural gas, chiller, or industrial HVAC systems
• Ability to read technical drawings and piping schematics
• Familiarity with applicable pressure‑piping codes
• Experience with Oxy‑Acetylene equipment (required for testing)
• Completion of a brazing or welding technical program preferred
• MUST be an experienced brazer

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chandler, AZ.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
