Cleanroom Technician Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Cleanroom Technician to serve as a liaison between the Lab and Laser safety room. The role involves monitoring, documenting, and cleaning steel parts installed into semiconductor equipment from various clients. This position requires spending 30 minutes in the laser room daily and is integral to processing and testing parts and assemblies received from high-tech manufacturing customers.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and document activities in the laser room, ensuring all procedures are followed accurately.

• Process, test, and package customer parts and equipment in a critically controlled cleanroom environment.

• Follow written work instructions and procedures, annotating each completed step.

• Perform tasks adhering to cleanroom garment and PPE protocols.

• Support inventory management by maintaining proper stocking levels.

• Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of the work area, equipment, and tools.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 3 months experience in a cleanroom environment.

• 3+ months of mechanical assembly, cleaning, and re-assembling of semiconductor parts/tools.

• Ability to read schematics or Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Proven ability to document and communicate clearly using word processing tools.

• 2+ years of experience working with computers on a weekly basis.

• Ability to work with chemicals as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Chemical handling and testing experience.

• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

• Experience with ERP and engineering documentation for safety SOPs.

• Mechanical aptitude and a good tenure of 2+ years at each previous role.

Work Environment

The work environment is a lab and cleanroom setting, collaborating closely with operations and engineering teams. The shift is a back-end day shift from 6 AM to 6 PM, Thursday to Saturday, and every other Wednesday with built-in overtime during 4-day weeks. Employees must provide their own steel-toed shoes and long pants, as all other PPE will be supplied. Punctuality and attention to detail are crucial in this environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chandler, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
