Position Summary

Receive finished goods from production. Ensure the proper storage and bin allocation for finished good products and input accurate records into ERP systems. Ship finished goods to customers accurately, safely, and on schedule by performing all shipping functions as directed. Review daily shipping requirements. Wrap, tag and prep pallets for shipping. Create bills of lading. Verify shipments against packing slips. Load trucks in accordance to Department of Transportation weight requirements.

Process electronic records, within ERP, accurately.

Shipping Supervisor

Responsibilities
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Follow and ensure compliance to quality system and cGMP programs.
  • Obtain quotes and schedule pickups, using approved carriers.
  • Complete Bill of Ladings, as needed, and stage product for shipment in an organized fashion.
  • Stage, wrap, and apply assigned labels for shipping, as required.
  • Create packing lists for all Customer shipments, within ERP system.
  • Verify that on‑hand product matches packing list and report any discrepancies.
  • Perform trailer inspections.
  • Load trailers in an efficient and safe manner, following both ANS and Customer policies.
  • Assist with pulling orders for internal transfers between facilities.
  • Store and electronically upload all shipment and tracking information into established location.
  • Forklift Certified.
  • Follows Safety Protocols.
  • Follows established Departmental SOP's.
  • AX usage and understanding of system transactions.
  • Efficient operating RF Smart scan guns.
  • Attention to detail, inspecting truck loads and reviewing inbound documentation.
  • Effectively operates PIT equipment.
  • Effectively communicates, both in‑person and email, across all cross‑functional departments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
  • Reports to Shipping/Receiving Supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Must have a high school degree or equivalent.
  • Six months of work experience.
  • High level of knowledge of department functions and SOP.
  • Forklift Certification.
  • Must have moderate math skills.
  • Basic reading skills required.
  • Basic computer skills needed, including email.
  • Must have basic language skills. Fluency in multiple languages is desirable.
  • Must have basic writing skills.
  • Must be willing to learn new tasks and procedures.
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively perform all essential position duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation without posing a direct safety threat to others or self.
  • Maintain a regular and dependable work attendance record with few instances of unplanned and/or unexpected absence.
