Mechanical Assembler

Responsibilities

• Work under direct supervision.
• Weigh and press inert and energetic materials.
• Set up and use an analytical balance.
• Perform inert assembly operations.
• Perform minor cabling, potting, tinning, and assembly work.
• Set up and use a powder press for pressing operations.
• Have basic set‑up capability for specific equipment.
• Possess basic soldering experience.
• Execute various production assembly operations on components and subassemblies.
• Use visual aids, drawings, and verbal and written instructions to assemble, modify, re‑work, or re‑assemble units; receive detailed instruction on new assignments.
• Install sub‑assemblies.
• Display proficient dexterity to ensure safe handling of explosive devices.
• All work is performed in explosive handling areas.
• If required, attend off‑site training classes to maintain certification requirements (e.g., JSTD).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Able to work under direct supervision.
• Understand, speak, read, and write English.
• U.S. citizenship is required or be prepared to obtain necessary U.S. government export authorizations.

• No formal education required; education needed for advancement to other positions.
• At least 1 year of industry assembly experience.
• Soldering experience.

• Position is subject to U.S. Government export control regulations (ITAR).
• Candidates must be U.S. Persons (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals) or be prepared to secure the required export authorizations.
• Ongoing employment depends on obtaining appropriate government export authorizations.
