Operations Coordinator
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Operations Coordinator to oversee and streamline our packaging manufacturing workflows. In this role, you will bridge the gap between clients, account managers, design teams, and the floor plant to ensure high-quality packaging materials are produced efficiently and delivered on time. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, possesses exceptional logistics skills, and brings a basic understanding of print, structural design, or packaging substrates.
Key Responsibilities- Create, update, and distribute daily and weekly manufacturing timelines based on material constraints and machinery availability.
- Monitor inventory levels for key packaging raw materials like corrugated cardboard, rigid plastics, films, inks, and adhesives to prevent line stoppages.
- Analyze client specifications, structural files, and print proofs to ensure manufacturing teams have accurate job requirements.
- Act as the central communication link connecting the sales team, structural design engineers, purchasing, and logistics.
- Coordinate with quality control technicians to ensure finished boxes, displays, or flexible packages meet structural and print standards.
- Interface with external toolmakers, die makers, and material suppliers to secure necessary production tooling on time.
- Document and analyze daily machine output, scrap material percentages, and overall operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot bottlenecks on the production floor immediately and adjust schedules dynamically to fulfill priority client orders.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in manufacturing coordination, ideally within packaging, commercial printing, or related assembly environments.
- High school diploma required; an Associate or Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, or business administration is preferred.
- Hands-on experience using ERP/MRP software (such as SAP, Net Suite, or specialized packaging software) alongside advanced Excel skills.
- Familiarity with printing methods (flexography, digital, offset) and die-cutting processes is a significant plus.
- Superior multitasking capabilities under tight deadlines and clear verbal communication to align diverse plant floor and office teams.
- Must be comfortable splitting time between a quiet office space and a loud, fast-moving manufacturing plant floor.
- Occasional lifting of material samples up to 25 lbs may be required.
