Maintenance Technician

We have an immediate opening with a manufacturing company for an experienced Maintenance Technician. Work Schedule - 3rd Shift

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Be willing to work a fixed work schedule (8- or 12-hour shifts). You may be required to work evenings, nights, holidays, and overtime.
· Design, fabricate, install, repair, modify and maintain machines, equipment, structures and facilities.
· Machine parts, metal stock, pins, tubing, fittings, mechanical hardware, compressed gases, oil, grease, paint, acids, fiber optics, specialty metals.

Must be able to use the following Tools and Equipment:

· Tools common to the craft of millwright, pipefitter, welder, layout person, rigger, and blacksmith, such as drill press, saws, abrasive cutoff wheel, grinders and shears.
· Pipe fitting equipment.
· Welding and burning equipment.
· Hoists
· Cranes
· Non-destructive testing equipment.
· Personal computer; PLC terminals.

Qualifications:

· Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
· Satisfactorily pass a comprehensive online and hands-on skills test.
· Pass a physical examination, drug screen test and background check.
· Minimum of 5 years Journey person experience or equivalent maintaining heavy equipment with a working knowledge of welding, machine repair, millwright, hydraulics, sheet metal, pipe fitting, and blueprints.
