Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Vacuum Form Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating vacuum forming machines to produce high-quality plastic components efficiently and safely. Your expertise will help ensure that products meet precise specifications while maintaining a smooth production flow. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced plastics fabrication equipment and contribute to innovative manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities- Set up and operate vacuum forming machines, ensuring proper calibration and alignment for each production run
- Monitor machine operations continuously, making adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards
- Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and surface finishes
- Handle materials safely using appropriate materials handling techniques, including forklift operation when necessary
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on vacuum forming equipment to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with team members on fabrication tasks involving plastics extrusion, blow molding, injection molding, and press brake machinery
- Maintain accurate production records, inspection reports, and shift logs to ensure traceability and accountability
- Proven experience operating plastic manufacturing equipment, particularly vacuum formers or related machinery such as CNC lathes or CNC machines
- Familiarity with plastics fabrication processes including injection molding, blow molding, extrusion, and thermoforming techniques
- Mechanical knowledge of press brake machines, CNC equipment, and hand tools for assembly and fabrication tasks
- Hands‑on experience with quality inspection tools like micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments
- Warehouse experience or materials handling skills, including forklift certification preferred but not required
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste
