2nd Shift Fitter- Chandler, AZ

Fabrication simple steel parts by reading blue prints and building to specifications using hand held tools, power tools, and track type oxy-fuel cutting apparatus.

• Pass tack weld test in 3 F and 4 F positions with F4 electrode group.
• Interpret structural steel blue prints (shop drawings). Simple columns and beams.
• Be able to camber (heat or mechanical).
• Operate cutting torch.
• Utilize impact wrench to tighten bolts.
• Operate overhead pendent controlled bridge crane safely and effectively.
• Use magnetic drill, reamer motors and reamers for making holes.
• Perform other duties as required by management.

Required:

High school education or equivalent. Basic knowledge of structural steel fasteners. Ability to read tape measure to 1/16  increments and add / subtract fractions. Ability to read weld symbols and basic knowledge of structural steel fasteners. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Preferred:
Two or more years' experience in manufacturing in the steel fabrication industry.

Air arc, 90° angle grinder, crane, heating torch, impact wrench, reamers, magnetic drills, welding machine, and tape measure.
