An Ocotillo Technology Fabrication (OTF) Def Met Shift Group Leader (GL) works a compressed schedule and reports directly to department managers. The GL will be responsible for the performance, development, and employee relations of technicians working on shifts. The group leader will be responsible for creating and executing a roadmap to meet goals against area/shift metrics in safety, quality, availability, velocity, affordability, and training.

The candidate may also be responsible for other activities including IMT and Production leadership. The Def Met SGL is responsible for communicating quality messages to the factory on a daily basis. They own EDI performance and must work directly with the module SGL teams to collaborate and find manufacturable quality solutions. Candidate will also be a role model for the culture and set the standard for expectations to living the culture.

• Set priorities for the team, get results across boundaries, ensure an inclusive work environment, develop employees, and manage performance.
• Supervise the activities of product teams or staff in a manufacturing area.
• Assess personnel and material levels to determine production schedules.
• Assign personnel and monitor the flow of work in process through the manufacturing facility.
• Establish operating policies and procedures, coordinate multiple functions within a manufacturing facility, establish strategic plans to ensure production schedules are met within established quality and cost objectives.
• Ensure overall safety of personnel, company assets, and the surrounding environment.
• Plan and schedule daily tasks, use judgement on a variety of problems requiring deviation from standard practices.

• Minimum Qualifications:
  
  5+ years of experience in the below skillsets: semiconductor fabrication industry;
  Process engineering or Yield experience.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  A demonstrated aptitude to interact with vendor field service engineering support - and manufacturing technicians on toolsets.
• Previous people management and/or leadership experience.
• Technical expertise within Semiconductor Process engineering and be able to provide technical direction on quality issues.
• Data analysis skills and a good understanding of basic statistics.

This position will operate on a Compressed Work Week schedule where the shift tends to be 12-hours from about 6pm to 6am. Shift 6 - Nighttime, back half of week - PM-AM Wed-Fri and alternating Saturday night. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.
