** Summary
* * The Assembly Worker I is an entry-level manufacturing position responsible for assembling components and finished products according to drawings, work instructions, and established production procedures. This position is intended for individuals who are dependable, mechanically inclined, willing to learn, and interested in developing manufacturing and assembly skills. Previous manufacturing experience is helpful but is not required. An Assembly Worker I works under the direction of experienced assembly personnel, leads, and production management while learning proper assembly methods, quality requirements, tool usage, and shop safety practices.
** Primary Responsibilities
** Perform basic mechanical assembly of parts, components, and finished products.

Follow written work instructions, assembly procedures, drawings, and visual aids.

Use common hand tools including screwdrivers, wrenches, sockets, ratchets, Allen wrenches, pliers, hammers, mallets,cordless drills, and drivers.

Measure components using a tape measure, ruler, and basic measuring equipment.

Install fasteners, brackets, panels, hardware, and other components.

Properly tighten and torque fasteners when specified.

Identify and verify correct parts before assembly.

Inspect assembled components for obvious defects, damage, missing parts, or incorrect installation.

Maintain proper orientation and alignment of components during assembly.

Assist with fitting and positioning fabricated sheet-metal components.

Perform basic deburring, cleaning, and preparation of components prior to assembly.

Apply labels, identification tags, serial numbers, and product markings as required.

Package completed assemblies when assigned.

Maintain a clean and organized workstation.

Follow established safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.

Report damaged parts, incorrect components, quality problems, or assembly issues to the lead or supervisor.

Assist other production departments as required.

** Physical Requirements
** The employee must be able to:

Stand and work at an assembly station for extended periods.

Frequently use hands and fingers to handle tools and components.

Bend, reach, kneel, and perform normal manufacturing activities.

Lift and move components and assemblies within established company lifting limits.

Safely work around manufacturing equipment and production operations.

Wear required personal protective equipment.
