is looking for a talented
Material Handler II
to join us in
Chandler, AZ!

The Material Handler II is to distribute material accurately and safely, internal, and external, to the facility efficiently and expeditiously. They must be proficient at 80% of Material Handler I skills demonstrating a clear ability to grasp 5S philosophy and work within multiple disciplines. They must have the ability to follow directions and communicate effectively with team members, both orally and written.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The time of each task fluctuates with workload. Cross-training and fluid transition between departments are essential for competitive advantage. Material handler I must be proficient with all levels I tasks within 90 days of the date of hire. Many tasks require the Job Training. Four codes relate to unique skill sets and Material Handler II works under Material Handler III guidance as required in each function.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be proficient able to perform the responsibilities and duties of Material Handler I.
  • Basic understanding of Excel files (enter data in preset forms and save properly).
  • Maintain and store files effectively.
  • Create new locations in the ERP system.
  • Process and print barcode labels.
  • Maintain Data in KPI.
  • Fill out complex forms in ERP systems such as NCM.
  • Use various tools to research inventory discrepancies.
  • Use critical thinking skills to find lost inventory.
  • Reorganize inventory storage for maximum fit and distribution.
  • Use Carrier related software and prepare BOL.
  • Use Hand Trucks, Pallet jackets, and Scales safely and effectively.
  • Repetitive motion of twisting and bending.

Educational/Certification Requirement:

  • High School Diploma (or G.E.D.).
  • Forklift Certification as Required.
  • Driver's License as Required.

Work Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience related to the use of computer and ERP systems bar-coded software is highly desired. Two years' experience in any type of material distribution environment is desired.
  • Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment.

  • Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull and grasp.
  • Ability to lift to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to lift over 25 lbs. with assistance.
  • Ability to move arms, hands, and fingers.
  • Ability to sit for sustained periods.
  • Required to have visual acuity to perform assigned tasks.
  • Subject to hazards including electrical current, moving mechanical parts, and exposure to chemicals.
  • Subject to frequent interruptions.
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment where applicable.
