The Process Technician is responsible for coordinating daily production activities, leading a team of manufacturing operators, and ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals are achieved. This position serves as the first point of contact for production employees and works closely with supervisors, engineering, quality, maintenance, and planning teams to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities- Lead and support daily manufacturing operations to meet production schedules and customer requirements
- Assign work and coordinate labor resources across production lines or work cells
- Monitor production performance and address issues impacting safety, quality, cost, or delivery
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
- Facilitate shift handoffs and communicate production priorities
- Monitor and adjust machine parameters
- Maintain cleanliness of process equipment area
- Test batch or product quality
- Maintain equipment and batch logbooks
- Escalate equipment malfunction to the supervisor
- Other responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read/write simple instructions and communicate effectively with team members
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs periodically throughout the day
- This job involves a lot of walking in an industrial indoor and outdoor manufacturing environment
