An exciting opportunity exists for experienced Registered Nurses in various specialized units, including Telemetry, Neuro, and Medical-Surgical care. Candidates must possess strong clinical skills and the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment.
Positions are available in Chandler, AZ and Gilbert, AZ with flexibility to float between multiple locations within the region.
CV Tele B3A: 32 beds, centralized telemetry. Ratios: 1:3-4. Common diagnoses:
Post-cath lab, post vascular procedures, day 2 CABG patients.
A3 Neuro: 28 beds, focused on neuro care. Ratios: 1:3-4. Common diagnoses:
Neuro post-surgical care, CVAs post-TPA.
Med Surg C5: 32 beds, orthopedics, surgical, and oncology. Ratios: 1:4. Common diagnoses:
Surgical patients, oncology cases.
Med Surg B2C: 29 beds, general Med Surg care requiring telemetry. Ratios: 1:4. Common diagnoses:
General Med Surg patients on amiodarone, cardizem.
Titrate cardiac drips as needed. Interpret EKGs in telemetry units. Floating between units of equal or lower acuity, including ICU and observation areas. Complete a dysrhythmia exam prior to contract signing and participate in a Sim Lab on the first day of orientation.
Current ACLS and BLS certifications required. NIHSS certification preferred for Neuro unit. Must have experience with titration of medications (Amiodarone, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, Dobutamine). Ability to adapt to different units and floating assignments.
12-hour shifts (7 AM to 7 PM), with weekend requirements of every other weekend and availability for holidays.
Orientation includes two days on the floor specific to your assigned unit. There may be instances of floating mid-shift to other units. Communication regarding floating assignments will be provided 1.5 hours prior to shift start.
This position utilizes the Cerner electronic health record system.
