Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry
We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses with a strong background in telemetry to join our team. This position involves caring for patients in an acute care setting, focusing primarily on telemetry patients awaiting placement on a unit.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality nursing care for patients in a telemetry environment.
- Increase and titrate cardiac drips as per physician orders and established parameters.
- Read and interpret cardiac strips, with no dedicated monitor technicians available.
- Assist with ED patients, including taking vitals, starting IVs, and administering medications when needed.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent telemetry nursing experience within the past 6 months.
- Current certifications:
- BLS
- ACLS
- Must successfully pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving an offer.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts and rotate weekends and holidays as required.
The position will involve caring for patients from the emergency department (ED) who are waiting for beds on the telemetry unit. The RN will typically work in ratios of 1 to 4 patients on telemetry. Orientation for this position will include two shifts focused on the Med/Surg/Telemetry unit.
ScheduleThe role includes:
- 12-hour shifts (day and night options available).
- Four weekend shifts within a four-week schedule.
- Rotation of holiday shifts with permanent staff.
- No on-call requirement; however, RNs may float to various units as needed.
