EHS Technician
Chandler, AZ | Full-Time | Day & Night Shift Opportunities | Direct-Hire Position | Up to $30/hour

- Manage and maintain daily 6S Safety Audit programs, track findings, and ensure corrective actions are completed through closure.
- Conduct routine EHS inspections, compliance audits, and safety assessments throughout manufacturing and cleanroom operations.
- Identify workplace hazards and partner with operations teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Support implementation and maintenance of OSHA programs, internal safety systems, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
- Participate in Safety Committee meetings, safety walks, and continuous improvement activities.
- Assist with incident, injury, and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
- Provide field coaching and safety guidance to engineers, technicians, contractors, and site personnel.
- Promote a proactive safety culture by serving as a trusted safety advocate and resource.
- Support Emergency Action Plans, evacuation drills, and emergency response activities.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of PPE, gas detection equipment, barricades, signage, and safety supplies.
- Verify safety stations, shark cages, monitoring equipment, and emergency resources remain organized, stocked, and compliant.
- Assist with environmental compliance activities, permits, documentation, and reporting requirements.
- Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs.
- Conduct targeted EHS assessments and coaching sessions to improve employee safety performance.
- Partner closely with engineers and operational teams to reinforce safe work practices.
- Build strong relationships across departments to drive engagement and accountability.
- Encourage employee participation in safety initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of Environmental Health & Safety experience with a strong focus on workplace safety.
- Experience supporting OSHA compliance programs and safety management systems.
- Experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, cleanroom, industrial, construction, or advanced technology environments.
- Knowledge of hazard recognition, industrial safety practices, and risk assessment processes.
- Understanding of chemical safety, hazardous materials handling, and waste management requirements.
- Experience with 5S, 6S, Lean, or continuous improvement programs.
- Strong computer skills, including:
- Microsoft Excel
- Word
- Power Point
- Outlook
- Microsoft Teams
- OSHA 30 Certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience conducting EHS audits and compliance inspections.
- Previous safety training or field coaching experience.
- Familiarity with semiconductor, cleanroom, pharmaceutical, microelectronics, or advanced manufacturing operations.
- Strong experience with recordkeeping, compliance reporting, and safety data analysis.
- Experience leading or participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a cleanroom environment.
- Comfortable wearing Tyvek suits, cleanroom garments, respirators, and other PPE for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to walk, stand, kneel, bend, climb, reach, and work in active manufacturing environments.
- Comfortable working at heights using ladders and Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs).
- Ability to enter and work within confined spaces when required.
- Willingness to travel to customer and company sites as business needs dictate.

This position supports advanced manufacturing and cleanroom operations where safety, precision, and professionalism are critical. Team members spend the majority of their shift in highly controlled environments while wearing full cleanroom attire and PPE.
Available schedules include front-end and back-end day or night shifts on a compressed workweek schedule:
Day Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Night Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
