Greater Chandler / East Valley area! Position Summary
FAA Part 145 repair station is seeking an experienced Chief Inspector to oversee quality control, inspection, and regulatory compliance activities. This role is responsible for ensuring all maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alterations meet FAA requirements and approved procedures prior to return to service.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and administer quality control and quality assurance functions in compliance with FAA Part 145 requirements
- Perform and/or delegate inspections related to maintenance, repair, and alteration activities
- Approve articles for return to service when authorized
- Ensure inspection methods, tools, and equipment are properly used and maintained
- Oversee calibration programs and tooling effectiveness
- Ensure all maintenance and inspection documentation is completed accurately and retained per regulatory requirements
- Identify quality or compliance concerns and collaborate with leadership to resolve issues
- Coordinate and support internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections
- Supervise and support inspection personnel and ensure consistent training and qualification documentation
- Maintain records in an organized and retrievable manner
- Serve as Safety Officer and support safety reporting, communication, and compliance activities
- Support hazardous materials notification and documentation requirements as applicable
- Must meet FAA Chief Inspector qualification requirements under 14 CFR Part 145
- FAA certification under 14 CFR Part 65 -- A&P License Required!
- Strong working knowledge of maintenance, inspection, and quality systems within an FAA repair station environment
- Proficient in the use of inspection tools, equipment, and visual inspection aids
- Thorough understanding of applicable FAA regulations and compliance requirements
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English - Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation accuracy
- Ability to lead, train, and supervise inspection personnel
Full-time
PayFrom $82,000.00 per year
Experience- Federal Aviation Regulations: 1 year (Preferred)
- Airframe & Powerplant License (Required)
