Quality Inspector

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Pay: $20-$22/hr DOE (Depending on Experience)

Position Summary

The Quality Inspector performs various receiving inspections, in-process inspections, verification of completed paperwork, identifying non-conformance issues, final product inspection, and checking dimensions of production detail parts and assemblies using hand tools such as calipers, scales, micrometers, and height gauge. AS9102, First Article, and PPAP skills required. Inspectors shall be proficient in blueprint reading as well as specification interpretation and must be able to perform first article inspection using in-house programs such as Inspection Xpert and Net Inspect.

The Inspector will identify drawing revision changes and purchase order requirements. Basic knowledge of requirements, maintenance, and implementation of AS9100 guidelines is required.

Essential Job Functions
  • Understand and follow company rules, safety procedures, processes, OJT, and work instructions.
  • Use ERP System (CSI), Doc Trak & Factory Trak, Quality Drive, and relevant systems for Quality tasks.
  • Investigate, resolve, and mitigate quality-related issues with internal and external customers/suppliers. Perform MRRs, communicate rejection details, and carry out disposition.
  • Conduct and teach others in QC Receiving, 1st piece, full TDP reviews, in-process (QCFAB) inspections, and final shipping inspections.
  • Demonstrate high computer proficiency required for daily QC tasks (portals, websites, spreadsheets).
  • Create Stencils (PK work instructions) from scratch.
  • Generate reports, perform verifications, track data, and recommend process improvements.
  • Verify incoming products meet purchase orders and customer requirements.
  • Verify assemblies meet all customer requirements.
  • Ensure calibration of all tools prior to use and maintain Calibration Log.
  • Maintain and update Issue Logs, FOD Audits, Freezer Log, Run QC Reports, and assist QC Lead and Managers with other tasks.
  • Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances per established procedures.
  • Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports.
  • Learn to create manufacturing and distribution PPAP submissions per customer requirements.
  • Create AS9102 cert packages for FAIRs per customer requirements and submit TDPs as required.
  • Create Detailed Inspection Plans using designated software.
  • Write and improve work instructions as needed.
