Position:
Quality Management Specialist (QMS & Cybersecurity)
Microchip Technology Inc. invites experienced quality professionals to manage internal audits, support certification activities, and contribute to product security initiatives.
Major Responsibilities- Perform internal audits for worldwide locations based on ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100, ISO 14001, ISO 21434, IEC 62443, among others.
- Assist with third‑party QMS certifications and ongoing third‑party audits at multiple design and manufacturing locations.
- Support integration activities related to company acquisitions into Microchip’s QMS and manage their certification activities.
- Support aspects of customer issue resolution and problem solving.
- Work with Microchip worldwide factory teams to support process/system improvements.
- Interface with new product development teams; propose procedures and systems to improve new product releases and related requirements.
- Lead and assist corporate objectives in achieving new QMS and product cybersecurity related certifications such as ISO 21434 and IEC 62443.
- Work to resolve customer quality issues; interface with Engineering, Failure Analysis, Sales, and Manufacturing to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Perform contract and feasibility review on customer technical specifications and non‑standard requests; work with engineering and factory to implement customer requirements.
- Work with all company functions to review operations and propose procedures and systems for improving and streamlining operations.
- Develop as‑is and to‑be process maps.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and programs to achieve 0 ppm.
- Assist with performing gap analysis, reviewing and implementing various QMS standards and associated requirements into Microchip processes.
- Assist and lead corporate quality applications and tool development, incorporating machine learning capabilities into tools developed for worldwide Microchip locations.
- BS in Engineering or equivalent (e.g., Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical); master’s preferred.
- 5‑7 years of experience, preferably in electrical/electronic or semiconductor industries.
- Working knowledge of statistical concepts and tools (SPC, DOE, regression analysis, MSA, Minitab, JMP, etc.).
- Basic programming and data analytical skills (Python, Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to perform root cause analysis.
- Ability to work on complex issues requiring in‑depth evaluation of situations or data.
- General knowledge of semiconductor products.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven record of working on multiple projects independently or with cross‑functional teams across multiple levels of the organization and presenting to leadership.
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational communication skills.
- Capability to lead when required.
- Strong self‑motivational drive.
- Flexible travel and ability to work with teams from multiple domestic and global time zones.

Pay RangeAnnual base salary range $70,304 – $205,000, dependent on location, skills, and experience.
