Position: Quality Engineer I

Job Summary

The Quality Engineer I works under immediate supervision and uses established procedures to control and monitor quality, ensuring products are consistent with industry standards, government regulations, and customer requirements.

Essential Functions
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Engineering, Operations, Suppliers, and Customers to ensure products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements while maintaining effective quality control systems.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret production data to identify trends; conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions, halting production when necessary to prevent nonconforming material escape.
  • Generate detailed reports on nonconformance, quality trends, and corrective actions; support audits from Defense, Aerospace, and Customer organizations to ensure compliance.
  • Lead qualification of product and process changes; review and approve quality documentation including ECOs, MCOs, deviations, and updates to Control Plans, PFMEAs, and Process Flow Diagrams.
  • Provide technical support for failure analysis, reliability testing, and process capability studies, ensuring processes remain stable and capable.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience:

    0‑2 years of Quality Engineering experience.
  • Knowledge:
    Understands fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of assigned product or program; knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the field.
  • Skills/Abilities:
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficient in the use of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; full color acuity; ability to manage multiple projects concurrently to meet company standards and deadlines.
  • Education/Certification–BA or BS degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing.
  • ASQC Quality Engineer Certification.
Eligibility Requirement

This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access, only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Applicants selected could be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Working Conditions

Standard office environment. Work requires substantial visual concentration on detail. Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment including but not limited to eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and other required PPE. Workers may be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes. Standing: 10%, Sitting: 90%. Lifting (in pounds): up to 25 pounds;
Pushing (in pounds): up to 25 pounds. Mental/Visual: use of computer, microscope. Workspace: cubicle/desk/work cell.
