As a Merchandiser at American Greetings, you are a vital part of our company’s purpose: helping people celebrate holidays, each other, and all of life’s special moments, by making the world a more thoughtful and caring place every single day. We are looking for merchandisers to work independently across various retail locations, showcasing organization and time management skills to display and maintain inventory levels of our celebration products, including greeting cards, gift wrap accessories, party goods, plush, and more.

Pay
  • $15.30 per hour initially, with two increases during the first year of employment based on location (subject to change)
  • After 6 months: $16.20 per hour
  • After 1 year: $17.00 per hour

Route And Schedule

This route services the following retail locations: 1950 W Ray Rd, Chandler, AZ 85224; 1159 West Chandler Blvd; 2600 W Chandler Blvd Ste 6; and 2955 West Ray Rd.

The weekly average hours are 6 hours per week, with potential increase to an average of 13 hours per week around holidays.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Serve stores on the assigned route, merchandising and organizing product orders, displaying product within greeting card departments and other retail locations, maintaining organized backroom areas, and performing other inventory tasks as needed.
  • Communicate with management regarding service or schedule questions or concerns.
  • Work in a fast-paced retail environment using time-management and organizational skills.
  • Build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime retail hours.
  • Availability for additional working days and extended hours leading up to and immediately following major holidays.
  • Provide occasional assistance with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal as requested.
  • Review and plan weekly service schedule and workload in assigned stores, using a company-issued tablet.
  • Work independently and as a team.
Experience Required

No experience necessary! We will train you.

Qualifications
  • 18 years old or older
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Access to reliable transportation (most routes have multiple retail locations)
  • Access to reliable internet to receive critical job information and updates
  • Technological competency – able to learn and use a company-provided tablet for training and daily tasks
  • Availability to meet scheduling needs – occasional weekends, and the day before and after major holidays (e.g., Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas)
Physical Demands

You will be working on the sales floor as well as the back stockroom. You must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and fixtures of up to 40 pounds throughout the day. You need to be able to stand, walk, stoop, and squat continuously. A stepstool may be used for certain tasks.
