Member Specialist

What You'll Do

Provides member service, maintains the checkout area, resolves member issues and concerns, promotes Sam's Club products and services, provides guidance regarding self‑service technology, processes purchases, assists with payments, returns, refunds and exchanges according to company policies and procedures.

Follows proper procedures for handling merchandise, corrects unsafe situations, and reports them to facility management.

Maintains entrance and exit areas, verifies membership cards, assists members with purchasing decisions, locates merchandise, zones the area, arranges and organizes merchandise, assists with transporting items, and maintains a safe shopping environment.

Maintains paperwork and logs, executes emergency response procedures, and ensures compliance with company security and safety practices.

Assists with training of Member Frontline Services associates on company processes, teaches new technology, delivers new program rollout training, and provides continuous learning and process improvement opportunities.

Ensures responsibilities are maintained in accordance with company policies by properly handling returns, identifying shrink and damages, and applying action plans under the Open Door Policy.

Completes work assignments and priorities by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners, and by adapting to change and feedback.

The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 to $26.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed, and multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
