Store Manager In Training (SMIT) – CVS Health

The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) role is a development-focused program designed to prepare participants for a future CVS Store Manager position. The program provides self-paced, collaborative training over 16 weeks, including virtual and hands‑on learning experiences and mentorship from a District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and a store manager coach.

• Communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written formats to support and lead the team.
• Perform customer care duties to deliver high levels of service.
• Execute merchandising strategies that support store sales growth.
• Manage store inventory and assets to maintain profitability.
• Actively engage with the leader in Key Learning Experiences to progress toward promotion.
• Support the store as a management team member and lead consistently with CVS values and policies.
• Engage colleagues in support of the company’s purpose of helping people on their path to better health.

• High school diploma or GED required; a four‑year college degree preferred but not mandatory.
• Retail management experience or prior experience as a CVS Supervisor preferred.
• Willingness to accept a promotion to Store Manager at any location within the designated market.
• Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores in the same market.
• Flexible schedule to meet business needs.

Pay range: $18.50 – $26.25 per hour, depending on experience, education, geography, and other factors.
