Area Business Development Director

Encompass Health seeks an Area Business Development Director to lead regional growth across our inpatient rehabilitation network. In this role, you will develop and execute market strategies, build and sustain referral relationships with hospitals, physicians, and post-acute partners, and oversee a team of business development professionals. You will analyze market trends, set territory goals, and track performance metrics. Collaborating closely with clinical and hospital leadership, you will align growth initiatives with patient-centered care, ensuring ethical, compliant outreach and representing Encompass Health in the community.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional business development strategies for inpatient rehabilitation services
• Build and maintain strong referral relationships with hospitals, physicians, and post-acute partners
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of business development and liaison staff
• Analyze market data to identify growth opportunities and competitive trends
• Set territory goals, track KPIs, and report on performance to senior leadership
• Collaborate with clinical and hospital leadership to align growth plans with patient care priorities
• Ensure all outreach and marketing activities comply with healthcare regulations and company policies
• Represent Encompass Health at community, professional, and networking events to enhance brand presence
