The City of Chandler Police Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Civilian Range Instructor
. The position requires providing firearms instruction, safety, and related training to police officers and detention officers. The instructor will maintain and repair department weapons, armory, and other equipment. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with benefits, with a 4/10 schedule working Monday through Thursday from 0700 - 1700.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalency supplemented by specialized training in firearms use and safety.
- At least three years’ experience providing basic and advanced firearms training in a law enforcement environment within the past five years.
- AZ POST Approved Firearms Instructor Certification.
- AZ POST Approved Rifle Instructor Certification.
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the necessary knowledge and abilities to perform the work.
- Previous law enforcement SWAT experience.
- Previous Glock and AR-15 armorer experience.
