Overview
Prism PSG is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented System Integration Technician to support the assembly, wiring, testing, and integration of electrical control systems. This role is responsible for ensuring that electrical components, control panels, PLCs, and related systems function together safely and efficiently.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with electrical systems, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings.
Responsibilities- Assemble and wire electrical control panels and system components.
- Install electrical hardware including sensors, motors, drives, breakers, and relays.
- Route and terminate wiring according to electrical schematics and industry standards.
- Assist with on-site installation and commissioning of integrated systems.
- Integrate electrical systems with PLCs, HMIs, and automation equipment.
- Configure and test control systems to meet project specifications.
- Verify proper communication between electrical and control system components.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations and modifications.
- Ensure systems comply with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Perform system upgrades, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
- Support field service efforts and provide technical assistance as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Technical certification in Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with industrial electrical systems and control panels.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Knowledge of PLCs, motor controls, VFDs, and automation systems.
- Familiarity with OSHA, NEC, and relevant electrical safety standards.
- Proficiency with electrical testing tools (multimeter, megger, etc.).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
