Position Summary

The Senior Field HVAC Technician will operate, maintain, and repair complex commercial and industrial HVAC infrastructure, focusing on advanced diagnostics and system optimization to ensure maximum efficiency for our clients. This role involves proactive maintenance, high-level troubleshooting, and mentoring junior staff, with significant opportunities for career advancement within our expanding company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Field Service & Complex Diagnostics:
    Perform expert-level troubleshooting and repairs on a wide range of commercial/industrial HVAC systems, including large-scale chillers, package units, and advanced air handling systems.
  • Client-Facing Professionalism:
    Serve as a primary technical contact for clients, utilizing Building Management Systems (BMS) to monitor performance and providing clear, professional communication regarding system health and efficiency.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Evaluate system performance to develop and implement strategies that increase energy efficiency and reduce operational costs for clients.
  • Leadership & Stewardship:
    Mentor junior technicians, promote a safe working environment, and maintain meticulously clean mechanical rooms.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in commercial or industrial HVAC field service and complex system diagnostics.
  • Deep working knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, including central plants, boiler systems, and industrial air handling equipment.
  • Strong experience with building automation systems and troubleshooting complex mechanical failures.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, focusing on zero-mistake, zero-callback performance.

  • Experience in data centers, hospitals, or power plants.
  • Ability to communicate with contractors.
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair various data center systems such as piping and mechanical system components.
  • Diagnose causes of problems and/or failures in air-cooled and water-cooled heating & air conditioning systems, and auxiliary equipment and support systems.

Candidate Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will possess a minimum of five years of experience in high-level commercial or industrial field service environments.

  • Proven proficiency in building automation systems and the resolution of complex mechanical malfunctions.

PAY: $35/hr - $45/hr + benefits (401k, Medical, Dental, Vision, Stock)
