BASIC DUTIES
- Display a thorough understanding of air conditioning principles / systems and the relevant codes and industry standards that govern their maintenance and installation.
- Effectively maintain, diagnose problems, make repairs, and perform work of a technical nature on all air-conditioning systems.
- Ensure compliance with all Company Policies and Procedures.
Actively comply with the company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
CUSTOMER DELIGHTConduct self in a manner conducive to good relationships with customers and other staff as well as ensure that a professional standard of presentation and performance is maintained. Proactively address customer complaints and demonstrate competence in establishing and maintaining long‑term relationships with customers.
EDUCATIONMaintain thorough industry knowledge and keep abreast of changes and advances in air-conditioning systems and technology.
STANDARD OF PRESENTATIONMust wear company provided uniforms and appear neat and clean at all times in accordance with the Company Appearance Policy. Maintain a neat, clean, orderly company-supplied service vehicle and company-supplied equipment.
ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIESEffectively manage administrative requirements including Field Service Reports, Inventory Usage Report, Quoted Work Forms, Material Request Forms, Survey Forms, Maintenance Logs, etc. in a professional and timely manner.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents such as (but not limited to) safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals, policies and procedures, or any other related documents. Ability to legibly write and fill out all documents.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to read charts, graphs, tables, and schematics as it relates to HVACR-oriented matters.
- Ability to apply common sense and basic understanding in order to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Maintain a valid Vehicle Operators License in the state of employment.
- Maintain an insurable driving record.
- Hold valid EPA certification.
- Maintain a valid City of Phoenix Journeyman License (where applicable).
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme heat or cold conditions, risk of electrical shock, fumes, airborne particles, vibration, high or precarious locations, and loud noises. Must work well under pressure to meet stringent deadlines. Must demonstrate cooperative behavior with customers, co‑workers, and supervisors.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands & fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to at least 50 pounds.
