Job Title:
Site Manager
The Site Manager oversees planning, budgeting, and execution of automated material handling equipment installations at a semiconductor manufacturing facility in North Phoenix. The role delivers on‑site leadership for Technicians and Field Engineers, ensures strict adherence to safety and quality standards, and serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders throughout project execution.
Responsibilities- Ensure creation, implementation, and adherence to installation site safety procedures.
- Own project safety execution through regular audits, compliance monitoring, and incident investigation.
- Resolve challenging situations with customers, contractors, and team members professionally.
- Oversee day‑to‑day project execution and deliverables, ensuring safe, high‑quality, on‑schedule completions.
- Supervise on‑site personnel, providing clear direction and monitoring progress against project plans.
- Interpret project schedules, milestones, and deliverables and develop detailed installation work plans.
- Organize and guide installation resource plans on‑site, aligning staffing, tools, and materials to meet requirements.
- Act as the primary liaison with customers for all installation‑related activities, maintaining strong communication and managing expectations.
- Oversee communication with all project stakeholders, ensuring timely updates on status, risks, and changes.
- Handle project modifications by assessing impacts, implementing corrective measures, and revising project plans.
- Finalize and distribute project installation reports, ensuring technical and progress documentation accuracy.
- Execute project closure activities, supporting acceptance and handover by finalizing all documentation and ensuring customer sign‑off.
- Develop and oversee installation site management documents, including organizational charts, contact lists, and protocols.
- Identify project risks related to safety, quality, cost, and schedule, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Formulate and manage the installation quality plan, including inspection, testing procedures, and document control.
- Guide, mentor, train, and develop internal and contractor project teams.
- Promote effective team communication by defining expectations, roles, and responsibilities.
- Arrange training, team development, and mentoring activities to enhance technical, safety, quality, and interpersonal skills.
- Collaborate with customer representatives and site personnel to coordinate access, scheduling, and integration with other construction activities.
- Use electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment drawings to guide installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure proper use of specialized tools and diagnostic instruments for installation and maintenance.
- Support commissioning and testing of installed systems, including stockers, conveyors, AGVs, and OHT systems.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, issues encountered, and resolutions implemented.
- Demonstrate strong customer relationship management with responsive, professional service during and after installations.
- 1–2 years of project management and team leadership experience in field service or installation roles.
- Proven experience managing installations of automated material handling or similar industrial equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment drawings.
- Prior electromechanical experience including diagnosing and troubleshooting electromechanical devices.
- Familiarity with motors, multimeters, proximity sensors, conveyor belts, and related tools.
- Experience interacting with customers and managing customer relationships in a technical environment.
- Project management skills in planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Strong time‑management skills to prioritize tasks in fast‑paced settings.
- Leadership skills guiding, mentoring, and supervising technical teams.
- Mechanical and electrical knowledge sufficient to support installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
