Hotel Maintenance Engineer - Chandler

Role Overview

The Marriott Phoenix Chandler, located in Chandler—a southeast suburb of Phoenix—is the newest Full‑Service Marriott in Arizona. With 264 guest rooms and over 21,000sqft of event space, it offers the largest ballroom in Chandler, AZ.

The successful candidate will perform a variety of maintenance trade functions including the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment, HVAC, painting, wall repair, tile work, and preventative maintenance program upkeep.

• Perform general maintenance of building and facility mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Perform general electrical repairs on appliances, house wiring, air conditioning systems, switches, fixtures, and motors.
• Repair plumbing fixtures, piping, drains, and sanitary systems.
• Repair woodwork, wall vinyl, doors, windows, carpeting, and other relevant items.
• Conduct general mechanical maintenance on pumps, compressors, water heaters, automotive equipment, and miscellaneous equipment.
• Keep records, maintain logs, prepare reports, and submit them to supervisors in a timely manner.

• Experience working in a maintenance role at a hotel or resort.
• Knowledge of household repairs—carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.
• Strong attention to detail and a welcoming, engaging personality.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, push/pull, and lift up to 80lbs.
