WORLD WIDE PROFESSIONAL SOLUTIONS is a project solutions organization committed to implementing lean constructions, collaborative contracting, and execution approaches to enable breakthroughs in performance.

Worldwide Professional Solutions is seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and motivated I&C Area Superintendent to join our growing team in Chandler, Arizona for a large semiconductor construction project.

This position is responsible for area level field leadership of Instrumentation and Controls and Life Safety Systems within an assigned project area. The I&C Area Superintendent will coordinate multiple work packages, field leaders, trade partners, and interfaces to drive safe execution, installation quality, schedule performance, commissioning readiness, and turnover.

Candidates must demonstrate a proven record of progressive construction leadership supporting complex I&C and LSS scopes in semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, high technology, industrial, or mission critical facilities. The ideal candidate is technically strong, highly organized, decisive in the field, and able to communicate effectively across construction, engineering, quality, commissioning, and client teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own field execution of all I&C and LSS scopes within the assigned area, including safety, quality, schedule, productivity, constructability, system integration, commissioning readiness, and turnover.
  • Provide area level leadership for superintendents, assistant superintendents, foremen, inspectors, and trade partners supporting controls, low voltage, fire alarm, life safety, and related system interfaces.
  • Establish clear priorities for the assigned area and lead daily coordination, weekly work planning, short interval planning, and three week to six week look ahead activities.
  • Coordinate manpower, material availability, equipment access, permits, inspections, installation sequencing, temporary conditions, and workface readiness to maintain uninterrupted field progress.
  • Serve as the primary field authority for I&C systems, including control panels, PLCs, DDC, BMS, SCADA, low voltage power, signal wiring, instrumentation, device installation, network and equipment interfaces, and system integration.
  • Lead planning and execution for LSS scopes, including fire alarm, smoke control, emergency notification, gas detection interfaces, emergency shutdown interfaces, and associated low voltage safety infrastructure.
  • Coordinate I&C and LSS work with electrical, mechanical, HVAC, process piping, process utilities, fire protection, CSA, tool install, automation, and commissioning teams to resolve interface conflicts before they affect installation or startup.
  • Review drawings, specifications, control schematics, P&IDs, point to point diagrams, risers, device layouts, sequence of operations, submittals, RFIs, and field change documentation for constructability and scope alignment.
  • Identify scope gaps, design conflicts, access constraints, incomplete prerequisites, and schedule risks. Drive timely resolution with construction management, engineering, general contractors, and trade partners.
  • Verify that field installations comply with approved contract documents, project specifications, quality requirements, redlines, and applicable codes and standards.
  • Partner with QA/QC teams to develop inspection plans, coordinate hold points, support witness testing, resolve deficiencies, and validate completion records for I&C and LSS systems.
  • Lead area walkdowns, punch list management, system completion reviews, and commissioning readiness reviews. Confirm that installation, testing, labeling, documentation, access, and safety requirements are complete before turnover.
  • Coordinate loop checks, controls device validation, point verification, functional testing, startup support, and integrated system testing with construction and commissioning teams.
  • Maintain accurate area status reporting, including progress, manpower, constraints, schedule impacts, quality issues, turnover status, and recovery actions.
  • Lead recurring coordination meetings and communicate clear expectations, action owners, due dates, and escalation paths across all responsible parties.
  • Promote a strong field safety culture and ensure work is planned and executed in accordance with project safety requirements, approved methods, and site procedures.
  • Mentor field leaders and support consistent execution practices across the area. Hold contractors and internal team members accountable for commitments, quality, and schedule performance.
  • Escalate unresolved risks and critical decisions to the General Superintendent or Construction Manager with practical mitigation and recovery recommendations.
