Position: ORR School Resource Officer (SRO) - Bilingual English/Spanish

Job Overview

The Bilingual ORR School Resource Officer (SRO) works within the OTRES program at Sycamore Canyon Academy in Oracle, Arizona. The role is a full‑time position, paid $20 per hour, with onsite housing, free meals, and transportation. As a Bilingual ORR SRO, you will help create a safe, supportive environment for at‑risk youth, lead outdoor activities, develop innovative programs, and contribute to the holistic growth of students.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure and maintain the safety and security of students, staff, visitors, and the facility.
  • Implement and enforce school policies and emergency procedures.
  • Collaborate with staff to develop and support educational and therapeutic programs.
  • Lead outdoor activities and field trips while promoting positive engagement.
  • Assist with crisis intervention and conflict resolution as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • One year of experience in a child welfare or agency setting.
  • Pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, TB test, and child abuse registry search.
