Our Software Engineers are responsible for designing, prototyping, developing, and debugging software solutions for semiconductor equipment components and devices to ensure quality and functionality. You'll develop software documentation and test procedures, troubleshoot software problems, and communicate with internal customers to understand project requirements. As part of our team, you'll contribute your expertise in intricate systems, deciphering code, and anticipating software behaviors to ensure Applied remains the leader in the semiconductor and display sectors.

** As a Software Engineer at Applied Materials, you’ll dive deep into ground-breaking technologies—like machine learning and AI—pushing the boundaries to craft novel software solutions that solve our customers’ high-value problems. You’ll design, develop, and debug software programs for enhancements and new products—and work on challenging projects, contributing your expertise in intricate systems, deciphering code, and anticipating software behaviors to ensure Applied remains the leader in the semiconductor and display sectors.

* *** ole Responsibilities:
*** Design, prototype and develop software solutions for semiconductor equipment components and devices with limited complexity.
* Develop software documentation and code for a variety of software projects, and design and implement bug fixes.
* Troubleshoot software problems and perform software tests on code and enhancements.
* Communicate with internal and external customers for an understanding of project requirements.
* Compile data for regularly scheduled or special reports, analysis and statements.

* Minimum Qualifications:

*** Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as computer science, information management, software/system engineering, cyber security or mathematics.
* Familiarity with the basic theories and concepts of software engineering.
* Proficiency in .Net, C#
* Experience in Python and any AI/ML Platform is a plus.
* Comfortable with Agile development and rapid prototyping
* Parallel programing/multi-threading
* Windows Communication Framework (WCF)
* Windows Forms based UIs Object Oriented programming (OOP) and Object-Oriented Design (OOD) Design Patterns
* Experience in semiconductor industry is a plus.
