Insight's packaged services team is hiring a full‑time Principal Software Engineer to collaborate with our clients in solving business challenges through modern technology. The role involves engaging directly with clients, developing software, building cloud solutions, conducting technical training sessions on Git Hub Copilot and platform, conducting technical assessments, and hands‑on work in application modernization, migration, AI solutions, Dev Ops, and cloud practices.

As a principal software engineer, you will help clients with future capabilities, develop modern applications, integrate AI solutions, and mentor junior Insight developers.

• Develop enterprise‑grade cloud native software solutions aligned to industry best‑practices
• Develop enterprise‑grade CI/CD and SDLC solutions using the Git Hub platform
• Conduct enablement sessions on Git Hub Copilot, Git Hub platform, and SDLC best practices
• Lead and mentor junior and offshore developers on a hybrid development team consisting of both onshore and off‑shore developers while delivering client projects
• Deliver technical recommendations, presentations and workshops to groups of peers and/or clients
• Hands‑on development of cloud native software solutions, integration platforms, and intelligent applications
• Develop low code solutions and integration platforms using Power Platform, Power Automate, and Logic Apps

• 7+ total years industry experience
• 7+ years of practical, hands‑on development experience in modern technologies including Object‑oriented design, implementation, best practices, with preferred experience in .NET platform (.NET Core, ASP.NET, C#, )
• Some experience in additional languages such as Java, Python, React, Angular, Vue, Node
• Building cloud native solutions on Microsoft Azure
• Automated unit testing and test‑driven development
• 4+ years of professional hands‑on experience with a public cloud provider. Microsoft Azure is required; additional knowledge of AWS and/or GCP is also highly valuable
• Experience with a consulting firm is preferred
• Git Hub and Cloud certifications preferred
